On May 11 & 12, 2023, the 1st International Conference on Lightweight Materials took place at Politecnico di Milano premises in Milan, Italy. The conference is organized in the context of LightMe project, an Open Innovation Test Bed, funded by the European Union, under the Horizon 2020 programme. Stakeholders from academia, industry and other Open Innovation Test Beds in relevant field attended the conference physically or remotely.
FreeMe project partners, Exelisis and Creative Nano, as well as the host of the event Politecnico di Milano, disseminated the project, explaining their role and highlighting the importance of lightweight materials on FreeMe end user applications. A dedicated poster was created and displayed for this purpose, along with flyers with more information about the project objectives.
