FreeMe participated in the SSbD workshop organized by the IRISS project and presented how the Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design approach is implemented within the framework of FreeMe. Mr. Alexis Grigoropoulos from Creative Nano, a partner of the FreeMe project, gave an overview of the project and its key objectives and described FreeMe’s SSbD approach highlighting the processes that are used for plating on plastics in the context of the project.

This workshop aims to promote cooperation amongst  SSbD projects in order to determine the optimal course of action. It also showcases how HE projects within Horizon Europe are applying the SSbD methodology. Additionally, it increases the impact that the SSbD community has. Among the other projects and organizations that participated in this workshop, the MOZART project was there to share its SSbD approach.
